@cm@chaos.social @jason@logoff.website Yep! That's what I figured. It is a gas boiler.

    I’m a bit out of my depth here and the plumber doesn’t know either. I have a combi boiler with OpenTherm support. What thermostat/controller should I get if I am a typical Mastodon user, i.e. don’t want to use some proprietary app, someone else’s cloud, or pay a subscription for my own hardware?

    I ordered some A4 prints and some packing tubes. I want to try selling some of my photos (and looks like it’s going to be by hand).

    I have a potentially strange question... Does anyone have a recommendation if I would want to buy a printed encyclopedia that dates from before the advent of LLMs that is both aesthetically pleasing on the shelf but also still recent enough that it doesn't contain too much outdated knowledge?

    @neil@mastodon.neilzone.co.uk No, but the rest of the interface in the screenshot doesn’t look like 5.0 so I don’t know if it’s related.

    I have a question: If, in theory, I were to offer physical prints of my work, which of the photos would you be most interested in buying? https://eugenrochko.com/

    @gourd@indieverse.social @marjolica@social.linux.pizza It's not that weird when you consider that most websites don't run versioned software at all, they just change stuff from time to time. Mastodon (and other fediverse software) is the outlier.

    @mxchara@cyberpunk.lol Yes, I know Scott, he's been a voluntary advisor for Mastodon since sometime in 2024.

    Please remember to leave your feedback on the 5.0 design that’s live on mastodon.social and mastodon.online on https://community.joinmastodon.org or the team might not see it in time. There’s an upvote function next to topics (confusingly, not the reactions underneath) that lets you sort topics by most votes.

    @openbsdnow@bsd.network Deeply unsettling image. Is body horror part of the release?

    @mimi@deadinsi.de @mbootsman@toot.re @Mastodon@mastodon.social I’m guessing it’s because of the verb “trumps”.

    Heh. I misremembered the date--thought it was today, but looks like it was October 5. On that day, 10 years ago, I posted a link to Mastodon on Hacker News, with the title "Show HN: A new decentralized microblogging platform". That it made it to the front page ended up bringing the first 5,000 users, setting the project on the trajectory it's on today.
