1: this is so sweet. holy gods it is sweet.
2: I'm having to convince myself that the roasted unsalted cashews are not, in fact, walnuts. texture-wise they're basically identical. i'm very pleased with that, even if I'm having to suppress an "ick, walnuts" since after all _they are not walnuts_ and do not taste like them. it's just the texture.
3: @annathepiper@mastodon.murkworks.net reports a whipped cream topping (which is suggested) definitely helps cut the sweetness. I think a tart fruit spread would also be delightful because _dang_ this is sweet
4: I like it tho'. It's really quite good. Just very sweet.
