That's one approach. Another is to ask why he would even utter a public opinion on this question. Part of the answer is that he was campaigning against #AbdulElSayed, the #ArabAmerican #Democratic nominee for the #Senate from #Michigan. But that can't be the whole answer. It just raises the next question. Why disparage the cultural contributions of an entire ethnic group in order to criticize one person's qualifications for the Senate? A while ago, I wrote a thread on how doctors view policy-focused doctors like #AbdulElSayed. Deciding to go into public health is not a lesser choice than clinical practice, and most doctors are grateful to those in the profession who skillfully push for better policy. Hundreds of doctors in #Michigan just publicly endorsed him for that reason. Rogers is a fraud, so no wonder he wants to paint el-Sayed as a fraud. But that doesn't fly with healthcare workers.

Mike Rogers, who signed on to destroy US healthcare, tries to pretend that Dr. El-Sayed "isn't a doctor" because the latter didn't complete a residency and obtain a license to practice. Bullshit. Dr. El-Sayed not only has an MD, he's a Rhodes Scholar with a Doctorate of Public Health. He was an assistant professor of epidemiology at Columbia.
