I don't know, it just seems relevant right now.
Ground has been taken. We're still really far from the world we want to see, but that's a fight that will take our entire lifetime and, maybe, even more. We do what we can now, we fight now, for the purpose that others will have a chance. There is a selflessness in the basic tenets of leftism, a real desire to toil and suffer while we solve what we can. We do that all so that others can solve problems greater than us.
I know voting democrat can sometimes be a choice that tears us apart. But this? What we see today is a ground on which we can continue to take.
We push the overton window as hard as we can. Progressives will continue to rise and win. All the while, the dem leaders themselves have no choice to put up a defense again the Republicans. They still attack us, but they have too many resources tied up to do it effectively. Also, they're... Not the brightest or most media minded of people. They are beatable. The biggest fucking moron of all time did it. Why can't we?
Sometimes you have to think tactically and coldly about politics. We have a once in a generation opportunity to gain ground and, just maybe, take control of the party entirely down the road. Do not waste time.
"Impossible" is the mantra of those who choose to give up. Stand and take up the fucking fight, in any way you can.
Oh, and we'll win Florida next time. Sometimes you take a loss, it happens. Perhaps it's necessary to listen to those of Cuban descent there and find a way to address their concerns better. Either way, it's a done deal in '28. Mark my words.
Keep your eyes open and do what you can.
