“Founded three years ago and based in Tel Aviv, Irregular is a niche player in artificial intelligence, backed with $80 million from Sequoia and #RedpointVentures and valued last year at $450 million. Its technology serves as a sort of #cybersecurity test bed for AI models. With the leading models becoming ever more powerful, their ability to act in malicious ways is turning into a major threat for corporations and governments, especially as the risk involves hacking into critical computer #systems and #infrastructure. The recent exploits at OpenAI, Anthropic and Meta all involved their AI models accessing websites that should have been off-limits as part of the cybersecurity testing. #Irregular’s name kept coming up because it was identified as hosting the so-called evaluation testbed.” Meanwhile #VC money is having a two-way bet; Money on #AI; Money on #hacking AI-models… I mean *cough* #Pentesting *cough* #PatternLabs / #DanLahav ex IBM / #OmerNevo ex google / #Sequoia #ShaunMaguire #DeanMeyer / #CyberOffensive / #AIModel #AIKillSwitch

Omg y’all, I have finally put enough red string on the board to figure it out. The tsunami of “ai will kill is all” is all coming from the #EffectiveAltruist (EA) network. So, all of the swarm failures in ai testing has come from one lab: #Irregular, a Tel Aviv-based frontier #AI security lab founded in 2023 by Dan Lahav (CEO) and Omer Nevo (CTO). Irregular's founders are deeply embedded in the (EA) network, through organizations funded by Dustin Moskovitz (Facebook co-founder). ( cites to follow) (EA)’s money is all over the messaging that we should pause or slow down all ai development across all arenas. Which makes me think that they are leveraging real opposition to get something they want. What do they want? Someone else to hold this bag they’ve filled up with debt. How do they do that? Make AI a national security threat and nationalize it. Clever boys. Very clever. #TESCREAL

The Large Magellanic Cloud

Explanation: Have you ever seen another galaxy with your own eyes? The featured image shows the Large Magellanic Cloud (or LMC), one of the closest neighbors of our Milky Way. If you are anywhere south of latitude 20° N (but the further south, the better), you can see it with the naked eye if you go to a dark sky location, away from big cities and light polution. It is a dwarf irregular galaxy about 163,000 light-years away, and a member of our Local Group of galaxies. Despite being small, with a total mass approximately equivalent to 10% - 20% of the mass of the Milky Way, the LMC is very actively forming stars. This is likely due to the gravitational push and pull of tides caused by the Milky Way on the LMC. Astronomers predict that it will collide with the Milky Way in in about 2 billion years. https://www.youcanseethemilkyway.com/blog/what-galaxies-can-you-see-with-the-naked-eye https://www.instagram.com/p/Da5kVNrkSwA/?img_index=1 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Large_Magellanic_Cloud https://imagine.gsfc.nasa.gov/science/objects/milkyway1.html https://oceanservice.noaa.gov/facts/latitude.html https://www.astronomy.com/observing/take-a-closer-look-at-the-large-magellanic-cloud/ https://esahubble.org/wordbank/dwarf-galaxy/ https://science.nasa.gov/universe/galaxies/types/#irregular-galaxies http://www.atlasoftheuniverse.com/localgr.html https://apod.nasa.gov/apod/ap260219.html https://iopscience.iop.org/article/10.3847/1538-4357/ad1f58/pdf https://images.unsplash.com/photo-1687425961065-46efeb465c66 https://www.sci.news/astronomy/large-magellanic-cloud-milky-way-collision-06788.html
