Hello #Fediverse! Time for an #introduction. I’m an independent analyst and author writing about the skies, global borders, and the craft of storytelling. What I share here: • #Aviation: 30+ years around aircraft systems & avionics; following industry policy & aerospace tech. • #Geopolitics: Shifts in global power, international trade corridors, and de-dollarisation. • #Travel & #Writing: Documenting heritage sites, high-altitude trails, and essays. Hi #Bookstodon 👋 I’m Levent, a former journalist and author of six books in Turkish. For years I’ve been trying one thing on the page: let the reader feel an emotion without ever naming it — through light, sound, temperature, movement. I write about show vs. tell, unreliable narrators and narrative distance. Which book made you feel something it never said out loud? #introduction #amreading #writing

#introduction Abyss is a free, native Markdown editor for Mac, iPhone and iPad, made by one developer in Helsinki. Your notes stay as .md files in a normal folder, on the device or in iCloud Drive, so Finder, git and other editors can still read them. The app styles the Markdown in place while you type. We'll post tips on writing in plain text, wiki links and canvas boards here, and answer questions about the app. abyss.md #Markdown #MacApps #Writing #PlainText

Happy Labor Day, Motherfuckers — New America Is Coming & Is Trump Really Laboring Or Is The Pregnancy Of His Presidency Over

A fearless breakdown of Elliot Page's Hollywood silence, Bulgaria's dignity ruling, doctors prescribing nature, and the survival tactics we need when naming everything matters—rooted in resistance and what endures.

AO3 going down is a bigger deal than I think people realize. The site has been offline since October 29. I have seen reports on Reddit that stories have been posted on other similar sites without the author’s permission. https://www.reddit.com/r/AO3/comments/1xm2tpp/situation_ao3life/ Also, AO3.life, has been accused of scraping fanfiction and attempting to monetize AI-generated audiobooks. Shitty and illegal behavior. Thousands of copyright takedown notices, forcing A03.file offline. #writing

#ThreeGoodThings #3GoodThings

  1. Months ago, I hand wrote and mailed short notes to several people living in the same neighborhood to thank them for political signs that encouraged me by demonstrating there are good people even during dark times. A few of them wrote kind letters back to me.

  2. A few weeks ago, I hand wrote and mailed short notes to thank people who flew pride flags in their yards. One of them wrote back and I enjoyed reading her note today.

  3. I have a young and outgoing neighbor who inspires me with her outgoing personality and kindness. Today, I will begin writing more notes to neighborhood people to thank them for kind acts I have accidentally witnessed and perhaps for the flowers in their yards that I see while walking my dog.

Hello Mastodon! I'm pretty new here, so here's a little about me: I'm publishing a fantasy novel next year, I love art and nature, and I love birds. I have two African ravens that keep me company: Hugin with his beautiful smokey chest, and Munin in all her sleek black awesomeness. I'll be posting more about my writing, art, and birds. #birds #art #writing #fiction #books #nature #ravens #munin #hugin #artists #introduction #hello

Back to what popped shit off... killing Khamenei. I keep feeling as if the Khamenei who was sold to us in the western media isn't an accurate picture of the man. I've found myself digging deeper to verify claims in Iranian propoganda and I keep finding it all to be true and well supported. Ali Khamenei was naunaced & well read and. He had deep objections to America's treatment of Black ppl. https://www.jstor.org/stable/23527515 #BlackMastodon #Khamenei #KhameneiAssassination #Iran #Writing #Novels #books

Added more tags in monitoring list. Good luck! #jobs #jobs #hiring #hired #remotework #freelance #commission #writing #getfedihired #opensource #commissionsOpen #commission
